Scrappin' Tribe
Hello Crafty Friends,

I’m Priya from Sanskruti art & Crafts.

Today I’m sharing my very first DT project with My Happy Packs.

I made a mixed media canvas using chipboard Frame and papers from “Jolly Good Girl” collection. This is a fun and vibrant pack with lovely coordinating chipboard frames. I love the sentiments and the designs of the pack too.

Jolly Good GIrls_Cover Page

Isn’t it lovely?
So now let’s move on to what I created. For my canvas, I created some texture and colored it. Then I layered some papers from the paper pack for the base of my photo frame which is again a chipboard frame from the same pack. I adhered some flowers and some more chipboards to embellish it. Finally added some sequins and glitter to finish the look.
The sentiment “Dream” is again from the Jolly Good Girl.

Hope you like my project.

Let’s have coffee together forever ???

Hello friends,

Today I am here with my another post with MY HAPPY PACKS!!! I love Hungry Cook paper pack …I am not getting over this beautiful vintage papers. It’s raining here In Mumbai!

Kitchen_Cover sheet final (1)

Rain and Romance are twosomes who make for a perfect couple, since time immemorial. The rain gods not only bring the pit pit patter but also the longing to be with one’s beloved. Add to it the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, completes a perfect coffee date!

final 18final 17A special handcrafted gift for special someone while enjoying sweet little nothing over a hot cup of coffee, at a cosy cafe around the corner, is a must! Let the warmth of love drip on the window pane of heart,,, with every drop of rain outside!

final 19This time I want to make a 3d Project. So I created a little cute vintage cafe for loved ones for their first date! you can gift this to the special one and ask for your first coffee date??? Isn’t it the lovely idea….

Now let’s start our procedure !!!

I found one old box at home and think to alter that little box! First, I gave a coat of Home decor Chalk paint to it to give a vintage feel. Then from the Hungry cook paper pack, I selected one sheet and covered the four sides of the box from outside. I distressed the edges of papers with Ranger’s distressed ink before sticking to them. The sides portions of the outside box I covered with another sheet and don’t forget to distress the edges of all papers.

Now its time to cover the inside portion of the box!!! I want to create a small room with a round coffee table and two hot cups of coffee…So I covered the four sides of the room with one pattern paper and for the carpet side, I selected another pattern paper. Again don’t forget to distress the edges!!! ( sorry forgot to take picture of this step 🙂

final 15All sides are almost covered with papers. Now it’s time to decorate our Cafe!!! I selected two wooden chipboards for signboards. I heat embossed them with Lindy’s embossing powder. It gave perfect look to the Cafe. I cut “Drinks” sentiment from die cutting sheet of paper pack and glued it with chipboard and covered it with glossy accent. Then stuck both the chipboards as per the image. And added cafe over the top of the box !!!

To the front portion of the box, I want to add one vintage window and cantilevered roof. So I added another pattern paper but smaller than the earlier one and attached roof to it and fold it a little bit to give the look of cantilevered roof. Stuck two sticks under the paper to support the roof. From my stash, I found one vintage window. So I covered it with chalk paint and highlight the carving part with Finnabair waxes. Added a coffee table pattern paper and laces to give a look of curtains and inside part of the Cafe.

final 9final 13Under the window, I stuck small little fences, dry moss and flowers to give a look of the small garden!!! Now the front portion is done, isn’t it look lovely ??? The back side of the outside box I added a tag from paper pack.

final 16final 11Let’s decorate inside portion of the box. To the opening door of the box, I again stuck a Tag from the Paper pack which goes well with the occasion. I took two pieces of metal charms and stuck one as a vintage lamp on the ceiling part and another as a round table. Fussy cut two coffee cups from paper pack and coloured it with water colour and stuck them on round table!!!

Added few more embellishments like flower pot and flowers and sentiments too from the Hungry Cook paper pack. Now our room is ready for a perfect coffee date!!!final 17final 20final 18

Hope you guys love this idea. Shower your love to this lovely 3d Project.

Thank You.

One Pot Wonder

Hey Guys!!!

Have you ever heard of “One pot wonder”? A busy mum or a working mum might have come across this term. Its often hard to balance both work and family and adding kids to the list needs a whole new level of energy and planning.

One pot wonders refer to One pot dishes. The recipes of these dishes suggest us to drop in all the requirement, close the lid and switch the stove on. In 20 mins time, Tada! a healthy snack, lunch or dinner is ready! This is something I love coz its quicker as well as healthier.

Here is a recipe folio I made majorly using the recipe cards that come with the paper pack, Hungry cook and also as free printable on this blog (Now this gives an option of printing out as many as we want)

I have divided the sections in to 4- Desserts, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and each of it can hold up to 15 recipe cards making it 60 recipes over all. The card is more than sufficient for keeping record of one pot dishes (our Indian cuisine especially needs 2 whole pages to write the recipe 😉 but this is one pot and so there is no procedure)

Lets take a look at it.

Here is the Inside:

Flap 2- Has measurements to the left and Dessert to the right

The recipe cards can be pulled out.

Flip 3- Has three sections with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Measurements, Weights and Temperature chart

Tabs for easy access.

These come with the paper pack. I have fussy cut and used them

I hope you liked it. Have a great day!!!

Decorative Chipboard Frames: My Happy Packs

Hello crafty friends,

I am back again with My Happy Packs !!! Today I came up with an idea of how to decorate beautiful chipboard frames “Happy Cuts” from My Happy Packs …These frame cuts are newly launched with Jolly Good Girl paper packs but you can buy only chipboard packs too !!! There are 8 different frame cuts and 8 letter cuts in one pack. Picture of its is given below.

It is a must buy product for any crafter as one can use it in any kind of projects, whether it is Mix Media, Album or Scrapbook making, decoupage, art journal or any shabby/chic projects!!! These frames are so versatile that you can alter it in any form whether its baby projects or masculine or vintage/rusty or soft/delicate.

Here I will show you some examples that which way you can alter this fancy cut chipboards. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed while creating these beautiful small little frames.

1) Frame for a Baby Projects :

I choose a little frame which has small heart shape at top. As I found this frame cute and perfect for any baby projects. I don’t want to do much in this so through a stencil I just coloured it with dauber and Archival ink ( Vibrant Fuchsia ). After that stick some baby embellishments on it and decorate with flowers and pearls. That’s it…It’s done !!!

frame 1

Isn’t it look super cute ??? You can use this frame in any scrap booking or baby album projects.
2) Frame for any Rusty / Vintage or Masculine Projects :

frame 2

I choose this frame for my alteration. First through stencils I applied modeling paste on frame randomly. After that I stick some wooden and metal gears, nails etc on it to give a masculine look. Then I applied black gesso on entire frame and coloured it with Finnabair’s Rust pastes and Patina Pastes. So it gives rusty/vintage look.

frame 2 a

One can use this frame on any layout or mix media projects. It really gives depth and more interest to your project.

3) Frame for a Shabby chic Projects :

This frame is my favorite amongst other frames. So I specially used this for my Shabby chic project. Its little big in size. For this I also started with Modeling paste and stencil. Got beautiful design on frame to give more interest. After that I applied Finnabair’s waxes on frame and got that little shine and shimmer which is perfect for my project. Then I arranged Mudra’s floral chipboards, Little birdie’s flowers and some embellishments and die cuts on it to make more layers. At the end to finish my frame I used later cut “Sunshine” from the pack.

frame 3

This gorgeous frame you can use in your layout or Shabby chic and soft pastel projects. But i personally loved this frame so much that I will keep this as it is…
4) Frame for an Art journal or Alter covers :

It is a smallest frame from a pack. I want to alter it through decoupage method. So I selected an old novel’s yellowish page for this. I glued a paper on frame with Mod Podge by decoupage method. After it dried I applied Distress ink ( Vintage Photo ) and Archival ink ( Black ) on frame’s edges !!! And Stamped some design with Black Archival ink. At the end I stick a small embellishment at one corner for more interest and it’s done. So simple but looks so interesting.

frame 4

I altered this frame by keeping in mind that I will use this on my any alter diary cover. You can use in your art journal or alter covers too.

5) Frame for a Beach Projects :

frame 5

Beach projects are always favourites amongst mix media artists world wide. So I decide to alter this for my beach theme project. I arranged beautiful sea shells, flower, stones, sea weeds and little cute turtle on frame and glued them. After that I applied a layer of white gesso on entire frame. Then slowly highlighted the elements through Finnabair’s Metallic paints and Lindy’s sprays. Vola its ready … this looks so amazing. Love this.

frame 5 a

frame 5 b

It can use in any beach or sea related 3d projects , layouts or alter art.

6) Frame for Mix Media or Alter projects :

frame 6

This frame is longest one from a pack so i try to alter it in other style. So firstly I tie a string on it and then arranged Resin and Metal embellishments on frame. I don’t want to cover entire frame. So some part I left as it is. Then I applied a layer of clear gesoo on it. After that I coloured the frame with Finnabair’s Metalic paints and when it dried, highlighted the details of embellishments through Waxes. Even I applied Crackle paste on border of frame to get the crackle effect. See the picture carefully you can get an idea of it.

frame 6 a

frame 6 b

I altered this frame through mix media technique.
7) Frame for a Soft and Shimmery Projects:

It’s again a cute frame !!! I want to keep this simple , soft yet shimmery. So I arranged some girly embellishments and dew drops on it and glued it. After that I applied glossy accents on border and sprinkled golden glitter and white shimmer dust. And its done again…This frame looks so gorgeous that we don’t have to do much to it.

frame 7

You can use this for any girly soft and shimmer projects. In real it looks really very beautiful. I am in love with this.
Hope you guys enjoy my each and every little frames. These frames are amazing …oh my God still I have so many other ideas for this “Happy Cuts” Chipboard set. Try them, you are going to love these frame cuts!!!

So much love…..

A birthday album: Jolly Good Girl

Hello crafty peeps!!!

As you all know I am designer for my happy packs and they have started with a bang full of amazing papers. They have papers for every theme with which you can make tonnes of project. I got the newly released papers called “Jolly good girl” and the first idea which came out with soo colourful papers was a birthday album for a little girl who loves little things. You have to see the collection to know that it has so much potential, the colour scheme is not only perfect for a Baby Themed Album but the variety of images and die-cuts in the collection made it so so much easier for me to design this album.

Jolly Good GIrls_Cover Page

The papers are really beautiful and come with a variety of things with it. There are a lot of images you can fussy cut and use and there are tags, sentiment sheets and chipboard set as well. The quality of the papers is perfect to make an album (around 220 gsm). Since the collection had such fun images it was really easy to create each page. I fussy cutted some images of girls with the cutting sheet and pasted it with double sided tape.PicsArt_05-28-11.54.57The Album has 10 different sides with a front cover. I have used lots of fussy cutting in the album as well as on the front page. For the front cover, I have used a stamped image and decorated with lots of different things and fussy cut tags and sentiments from the papers.PicsArt_05-29-12.06.16

Here are some more pictures of the album:

Hope you all like it.

Thank you so much…
